The Akhal Teke Horse is considered one of the oldest horse breeds, estimated to be over 3000 years old. They are prized because of their resilience to extreme weather conditions as much as their endurance, speed and intelligence.
Bayramov was fascinated by these horses. He even created a major series entitled horse race Ashkhabad-Kunya Urgench-Ashkhabad wherein he sketched horses, riders and spectators.
