Summer of 1920 - Resurgence of the Ku Klux Klan

The summer of 1920 marked an historic revival for the Ku Klux Klan. Although the white supremacist group had disbanded for nearly 50 years, widespread marketing and the release of the film “The Birth of a Nation“ fueled record membership. In this edition of Moments in Civil Rights History, a collaboration of Comcast and the Equal Justice Initiative, towns across the country become home to more than three million KKK members.
