March by captives’ families adding to huge pressure on Netanyahu

The Israeli captives held in Gaza have been a central issue throughout this conflict, particularly in Israel. There is an increasingly vocal and influential movement, led by the families of those believed to be held captive, calling on the government to bring them home. They are going to meet about 20km (12 miles) northwest of the city of Jerusalem and then march into the city for a rally this evening. Their movement is placing a huge amount of pressure on the government. Netanyahu has said that, regardless of whether there is a ceasefire, he wants to bring the captives home. But it’s a very thorny question as to how many of those captives are still alive.
