“The Flowers of Evil“ is the seventh song on Marilyn Manson’s 2012 release Born Villain. This song’s title does not mark Manson’s first use of the phrase. A painting by Manson premiered at the 2006 Celebritarian Corporation Gallery of Fine Art exhibition under the name Les Fleurs du Mal, French for “The Flowers of Evil.“ The following year, the Les Fleurs du Mal exhibition opened in Moscow, Russia. Born Villain is the eighth studio album by American rock band Marilyn Manson. It reached the first shelves on April 25, 2012, with a worldwide release ensuing on May 1, 2012. Born Villain is the first album released through vocalist Marilyn Manson’s Hell, etc. imprint, much like the vanity label Nothing Records which carried the band’s first decade of records.
