Depuis l’Europe, Ai Weiwei propose à 12 habitant·es de Wuhan de filmer au cœur de l’enfer, dans les hôpitaux, les parkings de livraison, les appartements confinés ou la morgue. A partir de 500 heures d’image, l’artiste réalise une œuvre-maîtresse qui donne enfin un visage et une parole à une population balayée par la raison d’État. English January 2020. From Europe, Ai Weiwei asked 12 people from Wuhan to film from the heart of hell, in hospitals, delivery car parks, confined flats or the morgue. From 500 hours of image, the artist has created a masterpiece that finally gives both a face and a voice to a people swept away in the name of national interest.
