France: Tear gas deployed as thousands rally in Paris Labour Day march

Thousands of protesters and members of France’s major trade unions gathered at the Place de la Republique and marched towards the Place de la Nation demonstrating against government policies on social rights, job cuts, civil liberties, and handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
