The Vertical Gunting (translated as ’scissors’) gets its name from the scissor-like motion made with your hands and arms. This variation of the technique is to create a deflection with your forearms against a linear attack in order to get to the outside position of your opponent.
1. Vertical gunting outside to bump
2. Vertical gunting outside to lever
3. Vertical gunting outside to head control
4. Vertical gunting outside to elbow destruction
