Biosphere 2 from the Bubble (part 2) @b2scienceorg

Here, I descend into the deep end within the Biosphere 2’s ’ocean’ while diving the RD1 Presenter Suite, and provide a brief overview of exciting new portable inflatable underwater habitat, or tent, technology. This Ocean Space Habitat has been advanced with support from Lombardi Undersea LLC, Ocean Opportunity Inc., Subsalve USA, New York University, University of Arizona, the National Geographic Society’s Waitt Grants Program, and Discovery’s Shark Week. Both the featured bubble helmet and underwater habitat are platforms central to an ’Aquanautics Program’ that is emerging with several partners. The ’gift of time’ will allow scientists to have an improved immersive experience within the underwater world and better share important ocean processes and discoveries.
