Small Intestinal Biopsy Closure in Companion Animals

Intestinal closure is performed in 1 layer to prevent narrowing of the intestinal lumen. Closure is performed with 4-0 monofilament absorbable suture in a simple interrupted or simple, continuous, full-thickness appositional pattern with enough tension to create a seal but not crush the tissues.
