Source SDK - Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (Singleplayer) Soundscapes
To those of you who are building maps for Dark Messiah Might and Magic Single Player, you may need some background sounds to your levels aka. soundscapes. I have made this video it make it easier to hear a small preview of how they all sound and in which environment they are used.
- Soundscapes with type “position“ use sounds setup to play at specific locations in the world.
- Soundscapes with type “direction“ use some sort of direction specific sounds, which are sounds shifting direction based on the player’s angle to the environment.
- DSP stands for “Digital Signal Processor“ and creates audio effects such as echoes and reverberations, which can be either automatically calculate based on the envionment by the game or set by soundscapes.
Some soundscapes may be excluded because they are either too quiet, may not work correctly or something else, those are are listed below.
