【World’s Largest Claws】Close and Personal with a Tasmanian Giant Freshwater Crayfish

The fern forests of Tasmania are a mysterious green wonderland. In their depths lurk freshwater crayfish of monstrous size. Aided by local researcher Todd Walsh, the crew go in search of the Tasmanian giant freshwater crayfish, known to grow as long as 90 cm. In the Tasmanian winter, when the river water temperature barely reaches 5°C, the crew finally clap eyes on the colossal crustacean. A version of this film was first broadcast in Japan as an episode of Amazing Animals in October 2006. Twitter: Instagram:
