Why The Russian MiG-29 Still Has A Place In Military Air Arms
Over the years, Russian Fighter aircraft have consistently undergone various upgrades, and one prime example is the Mikoyan MiG-29. This fighter, which took its inaugural flight in October 1977 and officially became part of the Soviet Union’s military in July 1982, has displayed remarkable longevity. Notably, it is still in active service today, utilized not only by Russia but also by several other air forces, and it remains actively involved in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Furthermore, it has paved the way for newer iterations like the MiG-35, and it continues to be a highly capable asset for multiple nations, with no apparent plans for retirement.
