"Que Sera, Sera" Connectivity Concert

Title: Que Sera, Sera  Music: Hidden Citizens  Choreographers: Carol Fipps and Sarah Gabbard Dancer: Bella Goggins  Artist Statement: This contemporary ballet dance tells a story about a little girl’s life. The story begins with a girl asking her mother what is going to happen with her life, if she will be pretty and rich, and the mother responds with, “Que sera, sera, whatever will be, will be.” As the little girl starts growing up and goes through her life, she starts to have hardship, grief, and heartache, but she always remembers the words, “Que sera, sera.” This song was originally sung by Doris Day in 1955, but it was reimagined by Hidden Citizens. This dance has the intention to take the audience through many different emotions that they might have felt in their life.
