NASA’s Perseverance rover attempts to land on the surface of Mars | LIVE
NASA’s rover, Perseverance, is set to land on Mars on Thursday at around 3:55 PM ET after seven months of travel through space. This live coverage will offer commentary and a countdown by NASA officials on NASA TV.
The biggest, most sophisticated Mars rover ever built — a car-size vehicle bristling with cameras, microphones, drills and lasers — blasted off for the Red Planet last July as part of an ambitious, long-range project to bring the first Martian rock samples back to Earth to be analyzed for evidence of ancient life.
