THE IRANIAN MASTIFF - SARABI, all you need to know!

The Iranian mastiff. It’s probably the last time you are seeing this dog, I’ll tell you why. It’s also known as the sarabi dog, don’t mistake it as a turkish shephard dog, it has a striking black and copper coat. It has served as a devoted herd guardian in Persia for over 5,000 years. It’s so tall that an iranian wolf looks like a fox in front of it. It’s 3 times heavier than them, it will literally suffocate a wolf by merely sitting on it. Jokes apart, the Iranian government is doing nothing for the continuation of this breed. The American Kennel club doesn’t even recognise the sarabi as a distinct dog breed, because it’s very rare to find a pure sarabi. People have mixed them with powerful mastiffs so that they can win the illegal dog battle games. Will you believe their are only 2 sarabi dogs in the United Kingdom? The legacy of this mighty dog is about to end in the upcoming few years.
