Learn How to Draw and Paint “TWO BIRDS OF PARADISE“ with Acrylic - Paint and Sip at Home - Tutorial
PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – Want to learn how to paint with acrylics? Looking for an easy spring painting idea? Let me be your acrylic art instructor as I teach you easy step-by-step instructions throughout this fun beginner art video as you learn how to paint a bird sitting on a bright colorful flower—a fun animal landscape “TWO BIRDS OF PARADISE“. My husband is fascinated by the origins of words and he often talks about how many of the common words we use today originated in ancient Greece, such as, economy, idol, echo, idiot, conclusion, atlas, chronology, and his favorite, “marathon”, which was named after the events of the Persian war where a Greek warrior ran the 26 miles from the town of Marathon to Greece to announce that the Greeks were successful in defeating the invading Persians. When I told my husband that I was going to talk about origins of words in my video description, he shared with me his other favorite word, “sandwich”, which, according to him, comes from the Earl of Sandwich, John Montagu. Apparently, this Earl liked to eat and play cards at the same time, and, in order to avoid his hands from getting sticky and greasy and spoiling the cards, he asked his servants to put whatever was being served in between two slices of bread, and the trend soon after caught on all around England and the rest of the world, giving rise to all food between bread being called, “sandwich“. Which brings me to this painting, and why this flower is called “Bird of Paradise”. As it turns out, this flower got its name after resembling a brightly colored bird in flight. So, join me and learn how to paint a bird and a bird of paradise in one beautiful image. You’ll learn how to use simple painting techniques for blending colors and adding atmospheric depth and dimension to create foliage, grass, and leaves as a jungle environment for your exotic bird and plant-life. After learning how to draw an outline for the birds of paradise using a simple dot-to-dot method, you’ll paint a basecoat and then add highlights and shadows giving form and dimension to the petals and stem of the flower, creating a realistic 3-D effect like a photograph. After drawing a parakeet and applying a basecoat, you’ll paint the eye and beak with a few simple stokes and then you’ll learn how to paint feathers by layering colors giving texture to your bird. You’ll be amazed at how easy it will be to create your canvas painting masterpiece. You can personalize your painting in any way you want and change the type of flower or bird. Paint a rose, orchid, lily, lilac, pansy or tulip. Paint a macaw, parrot, crane, blue heron, pelican, peacock or any winged creature your like. This is a painting inspired by the power of imagination, so feel free to use yours! Using only 3 brushes and 7 colors, you’ll paint like a professional! Have a date night at home, paint party, paint and sip event, or virtual paint night. Paint with gouache, oil paint, or watercolor, any medium will work! Paint just for fun or for art therapy. It’s an easy art project. I hope you enjoy watching this YouTube art video and let’s get painting and let’s get sipping!
