Trump wants SCOTUS to get involved in absolute immunity denial by DC appeals court

Former President Trump is officially asking the Supreme Court to get involved in another one of his cases. Today, he asked the justices to issue a stay or pause on the DC appeals court ruling last week that found he did NOT have absolute presidential immunity from criminal prosecution. A decision by the Supreme Court on this issue will likely determine whether Trump’s federal election interference trial will happen before or after the 2024 election
