Voices One

Video made by Jolanda Moletta: Listen/buy: Karen Vogt’s new release is a vocal ambient work crafted from homemade recordings by her friends and listeners. The project began with an invitation: record yourself whispering the phrase “I just want to feel.” The fifty submissions she was sent form the basis for I Just Want to Feel, a 4 track EP assembled, mixed, and produced by Vogt, mastered by sound artist/engineer Stephan Mathieu and released through Coriolis Sounds Vogt invited artist Jolanda Moletta to design all the accompanying visuals for the project. She contributes a beautiful series of images, collages and videos that further immerses the listener in the sounds and possibilities of the human voice. With the universe as a backdrop, we are left to contemplate our own response to the work.
