Zemlyane - Trava U Doma (w/ English translation)

This great old song is not only part of the Soviet/Russian music legacy loved by many but also it became an unofficial anthem of people working in Russian space industry (astronauts as well of course). Below is my take on translating the song’s lyrics into English. It’s not a literal translation and has slight improvisation here and there either. I did so because I thought word-for-word could ruin the mood and the beauty of the song. So the following text is made to convey the meaning and the mood of the song though it still stays quite close to the original lyrics. It’s not intended to rhyme but it does sometimes. And I’m not so good at English as you might notice so I believe there are some mistakes. Anyhow I’m sure it’s understandable and gives to those who don’t speak Russian an idea what this song is about well enough! So here we go...
