Led Zeppelin - Live in Detroit, MI (July 12th, 1973) - UPGRADE/BEST SOUND

As requested by Z, here is a new merge I put together of the band’s first show in Detroit in their 1973 North American tour. My previous upload of this show had one source running slow, so I used an upgraded and speed corrected version. The main source used here is pretty clear albeit slightly distant with Page a bit buried in the mix and some occasional minor tape issues/dropouts. The patching source is a bit noisy and hissy albeit with Page further up in the mix. Apart from patching, I also did some channel copying here and there in Dazed to cover for some channel dropouts. As for the performance itself, this is a very good show. Plant starts off rough but once he warms up he sounds pretty good, while the rest of the band is having a typically great night for the era. Special thanks to Dadgad for providing the main source, Bert for the revision of the patching source, and to Mysterii for the thumbnail! 0:00 Intro 0:30 Rock and Roll 4:23 Celebration Day 8:03 Black Dog 14:37 Over the Hills and Far Away 21:42 Misty Mountain Hop 26:26 Since I’ve Been Loving You 36:24 No Quarter 49:53 The Song Remains the Same 55:19 The Rain Song 1:04:35 Dazed and Confused 1:36:17 Stairway to Heaven 1:48:39 Moby Dick (cut) 2:18:27 Heartbreaker 2:25:30 Whole Lotta Love 2:42:01 Communication Breakdown (cut) 2:47:46 The Ocean Bootleg: Main: 8-track Master (Lloyd 8-track rec. w/ext Lloyd mic.) - VHS (transferred end of 70s) - DAT(2) - CDR - EAC - WAV - FLAC Patching: Nakamichi DR-1 (w/ manual azimuth adjustment) - Creative Soundblaster X-FI HD model #SB1240 - wav@24/96 - Magix Audio Cleaning Lab - track marks, volume adjustment and edits - wav@24/96 - TLH - flac 8
