Guy Fawkes and the Tower of London

Yeoman Warder Simon Dodd describes the fate of Guy Fawkes following the failed Gunpowder Plot in 1605. Fawkes was incarcerated and interrogated under torture at the Tower of London. He was eventually committed, tried and sentenced to death for treason. Fawkes met his fate at the Palace Yard, Whitehall on 31 January 1606. A monument to the Gunpowder Plot featuring the names of Fawkes and his co-conspirators was erected in the former council chamber, which stands in the Queen’s House at the Tower of London.
