Watch 8-hour Deposition Of Richard Sackler As He Denies Family’s Role in The Opioid Crisis

In 2015, lawyers for the state of Kentucky spent 8 hours conducting a deposition of Dr. Richard Sackler, the former president and co-chairman of Purdue Pharma, the family-owned company that makes OxyContin. It represents one of the few times a member of the family has been questioned under oath about the aggressive marketing of OxyContin and what role the family played in pushing sales of the drug. Purdue fought the release of the deposition for more than three years. ProPublica is publishing the entire video of the deposition here for the first time.
