Grand Performance to Celebrate 75th DPRK Founding Anniversary

Kim Tok Hun, Jo Yong Won and Choe Ryong Hae, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and other senior officials of the Party, the government and the military watched the performance together with deputies to the Supreme People’s Assembly, participants in the celebrations, officials of ministries and national institutions, students of revolutionary schools and citizens of Pyongyang. Present there on invitation were the party and government delegation of the People’s Republic of China and members of the Russian Army Academic Song and Dance Ensemble Named after Alexandrov. The performance was given by leading art troupes including the Ensemble of the State Affairs Commission and the State Merited Chorus, social and military art troupes and artistes and students of art education institutions. The DPRK national anthem was solemnly played. Put on the stage were colorful numbers such as the hymns to the leader and the Workers’ Party, which resounded far and wide in the course of founding and developing Juche Korea, and songs of struggle and creation composed in the journey of defending and glorifying the genuine people’s country. Amid the playing of the prelude “Our National Flag“, the national flag of the Republic and the letters “75th Anniversary“ were displayed in the nocturnal sky. All the participants paid high tribute to the flag of a powerful country flying in the nocturnal sky. Performers sang such famous songs, reminding the audience of the time when a new Korea started the building of a thriving nation, as “Song of the Proclamation of the People’s Republic“ and “May, Month of Victory“, the songs which resounded throughout the country to reflect the people’s joy of holding in high esteem the founding father of the nation. The audience was mesmerized by the song “Cantata to Marshal Kim Il Sung“, an immortal hymn full of boundless reverence for the peerless patriot and great man. Also put on the stage were famous songs representing the pure patriotic loyalty peculiar to the Korean people who find their pride and worth of genuine life on the road of national prosperity. The performance ended with female solo and chorus “The Glorious Motherland“ and finale “Our National Flag“, which fully represented the deepest respect for the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is ushering in the era of the powerful country and the era of our state-first principle, most brilliant ever in the 5 000-year-long history of the nation. Fireworks were let off to gorgeously decorate the night sky.
