Maneuverability of Chengdu J-20 China’s 5th Gen Stealth Fighter Jet Under High G-Loading

Many criticized the canard feature of J20 as being non-stealth, but last year USA released its 6th gen jet F/A-XX design featuring canard. The destabilizing Delta-Canard design offers great benefit for maneuverability and reducing drag at supersonic speed, however it requires complex flight control system to keep it from decreasing stall recoverability which could be dangerous. Which could be the reason why most 5th gen jets feature conventional swept wing design.
