Hoping we all have entered an amazing new year, we are happy to start our posts in it with a video devoted to the ballet that since its creation has been a symbol of the new: new music, new choreography, new art. In November this video was released in the social media of the Marrinsky, and now, finally, we have provided it with subtitles in English and French for our audience all over the world — hope you’ll appreciate it. --------------- The first performance of “The Rite of Spring“ was a revolution both in the music and in the choreography. However, the ballet staged by Vaslav Nijinsky to the music of Igor Stravinsky and premiered in 1913, then vanished from stage for more than half a century, until the reconstruction carried out in 1980s by Millicent Hodson and Kenneth Archer.
