Légende of Armand Coeck performed by Gino Herman

Légende (Legend) is composed by Armand Coeck in 1968. Devastated by a horrifying article in the newspaper about the massacre of Indians of the forest of the Amazon, Armand Coeck wrote Légende as a revolt. While the introduction refers to the counterpoint of the Middle Ages, symbolising the eternal soul of the Indian, the middle part tells the history of the Indian, revolting towards the end. Finally the mysterious counterpoint returns, as if the Indian found peace in a deeper truth, that goes beyond any horizon man ever can see. Gino Herman to whom is dedicated Constellations, performs this piece live. The clip was broadcasted near the end of the eighties by Belgian Television.
