It’s Not Comfortable, It’s Convenient | Common mistake by ESL students

I spend a lot of time speaking with people from Russia and former Soviet block countries. By far the most common mistake people from these regions make is saying the word comfortable when they mean convenient. Things that are comfortable are sofas, beds, armchairs or anything soft and comfy. If something makes your life easier, then it is convenient. So a corner shop that is open 24 hours is convenient.
