Ana Sofia Varela Fernandes, better known as Ana Sofia Varela, is a Portugese Fado singer. (born in Lisbon 1977) Alfama is a poem by Ary dos Santos. Music by Alain Oulman. Original interpretation by Amália Rodrigues. The Alfama district is located on one of the seven hills of Lisbon, between Castelo de São Jorge and the Tagus river. Alfama is Lisbon’s oldest neighbourhood.
