Matt Smith vs. David Tennant | Versus

In the first corner, we have Scotland native, David Tennant. DT gained notoriety in geek circles the mid 2000s appearing in ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ and BBC miniseries ‘Casanova,’ before being cast as the Ninth Doctor for season two of the newly returned ‘Doctor Who’! In the other corner, we’ve got Matt Smith. After a string of small roles in tv and film, Smith would land the coveted role of The Doctor for outgoing Tenth Doctor David Tennant, for the show’s fifth season in 2010. Smith would be the youngest actor to take on the iconic role of the Time Lord, playing the character over three seasons, before setting his sights on Terminators, Marvel heroes, Queen Elizabeth II, and Edgar Wright.
