The Blips - “Stay Up“

The Blips are a rock band that knows how to be both swift and patient at the same time. Back in late-2019 Taylor Hollingsworth, Wes McDonald, Will Stewart, Eric Wallace, and Chris McCauley collided in Birmingham, Alabama’s Ol’ Elegante recording studio and wrote an album in just three practice sessions. After those unexpectedly productive sessions, they recorded everything in a single weekend and booked their first show at Seasick Record Shop. Plenty of good stuff seemed to be on the horizon until covid hit and canceled everything. So, with their first album on hold for the moment, the fellas came together and wrote another nine songs—just in case. The Blips finally released their self-titled debut record on Cornelius Chapel Records in Spring 2021. Soon after the album hit, the legendary Little Steven Van Zandt named the single “Inside Out” one of the coolest songs in the world in his Underground Garage.
