An explosive device allegedly detonated by militants of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in Nusaybin district, southeastern Mardin province on Thursday left a huge crater in the road where it exploded, as seen on Saturday. No deaths were reported, although nine police officers and one pedestrian were injured in the explosion as they travelled by van. Homes, workshops and vehicles located around the explosion site were damaged, as fragments from the blast broke windows and hit buildings and vehicles.
