Game Character #1 - Creating Character Models from Concept Art - by Crystal Bretz

In this 5 part series for “Animatable Game Character“, Crystal Bretz will be showing how easy it can be to create a character from a concept with Character Creator and send it into the Unreal Engine using the Live Link from iClone. In this video, Crystal creates a character model in Character Creator to match body proportions to the wonderful concept by Jue Li. Crystal utilizes the morph sliders in Character Creator to fine tune all the muscles and proportions, and then used GoZ to send the character into ZBrush for a final sculpt pass on the body. 00:35 Importing body reference plane 01:20 Establishing base body proportions 02:47 Importing head reference plane 03:13 Establishing face proportions using sliders 09:05 Fix blink shapes 09:50 Adjusting eye occlusion mesh 10:50 Sending CC3 base to zbrush for sculpting 11:17 Sculpting character in zbrush 14:15 Using GoZ to send character sculpt from zbrush
