Stonewall Jackson statue removed in Richmond

Activists cheered and watched as Richmond authorities cut down their statue of Confederate General Stonewall Jackson today following an executive order by Mayor Levar Stoney to have all Confederate statues immediately removed. One man came to the scene with a flag that read “Respect, protect, and save our Confederate monuments.“ A group of activists surrounded him.
