Dog head cake timelapse video

This is a timelapse video on how I decorate a dog shaped cake in a way that makes it possible to do these for my clients. You can slow down the video to 21 minutes instead of 3, but it will still be timelapse. The total amount of time in this decorating part is 1,5 hours. It’s not competition quality but these techniques make it possible to do them in a lot less time then you’d think. This cake took me a total of 3 hours, including frame, cake baking, carving and filling. The decorating part took about 1,5 hours. I am using normal fondant that you would normally use for covering cakes. Sometimes I build up with modelingchocolate. It is not a tutorial, but there are nice tricks in it. If you don’t own an airbrush yet, I highly recommend it, since its a great way to add a lot of color quickly, do learn how to use it, watch some basic airbrush tutorials and follow a good class that teaches you the basics. Some, like me, dont think they need classes and just go ahead and practise a lot. Others don’t have the time to search and find out on their own and take classes, either way is fine, but PRACTISE and keep practising, you’ll never get those details and fine lines if you don’t practise. Other than this, I will not answer any questions regarding this video, again, it’s not meant as a tutorial, I will come with a new video where I go in depth on these cakes, those type of videos will get available for purchase.
