10 Hours Of Bioluminescent Waves + Ocean Sounds From Monterey Bay To Chill/Relax/Study/Work To

Fill your day with 10 hours of relaxing ocean sounds from the California coast paired with scintillating bioluminescent waves crashing on the beach here in Monterey Bay. May this video blue your mind and bless your screens as you study, work, or relax as billions upon billions of dinoflagellate plant-plankton setting off their underwater fireworks. This is a looping montage made from footage shot of a bioluminescent dinoflagellate phytoplankton bloom that occurred throughout the Monterey Bay in August of 2020. We’re still not sure which species was responsible—likely Polykrikos sp. amid the much larger bloom of Akashiwo sanguinea.
