Ossetian State University, Oleg Basaev has made a major contribution to the
development of contemporary art in Russia.
In 2010, the painter was awarded a Gold Medal of the International Federation of
Artists.

Oleg Basaev’s artistic path is quite interesting. In 1996, Oleg Basaev was invited to
the USA by the Tabakman Museum of Contemporary Russian Art, where he
became acquainted with the finest specimens of contemporary fine arts of Russian
and foreign authors. This was subsequently reflected in his work. During that
period, he began his series of metaphysical still life paintings, that have been
showcased at a major exhibition of artworks of famous contemporary Russian
painters.
Oleg Basaev often participates in various art fairs. His artworks have travelled
around the globe, reaching numerous museums, galleries, and private art
collections.
The detailed information about Oleg’s future exhibitions and his philosophy of art
can be found on the pages of the Verba Art Encyclopedia of Contemporary Art.
