One of the questions was, “How do you write your songs?“ Ian said: “Usually Ritchie starts out with a riff and I start riffing vocals over the top of it.“ At that moment, Richie grabbed his guitar and started to chunk out the verses to Highway Star. Ian chimed in with a vocal over the top and, in very short order, out came Highway Star!
