Across The Universe (The Beatles) - Cover

Hey there! Such a beautiful song. Probably my favorite lyrics from John Lennon. I think what he is describing is relatable but he says it in such a poetic and visual way that - together with that beautiful melody - just makes for an incredible song. I’ve always thought that art helps both the creator and the listener/reader/viewer: When somebody creates a piece of art they are materializing something that can’t be seen nor touched: feelings and thoughts. You need to go inside yourself to really feel and understand your emotions to be able to describe them (either in music, paintings, poetry, etc). It’s liberating. It’s cathartic. (I imagine also, as we’ve seen throughout history, this can be overwhelming at some point for some amazing artists that just felt too much.) And in the case of the listener/reader/viewer, when you come across a piece of art that resonates with things you are going through, it helps you navigate your own feelings and have that cathartic emotion as well.
