Putin’s ally Belarus gets nuke-capable Iskander missile system as neighbour Finland joins NATO

The arms race in Europe has picked up pace since NATO announced its expansion plans. Russia, which is NATO’s biggest rival, has now dared the bloc with its new Belarus move. Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Tuesday that Moscow has given an Iskander-M nuclear-capable missile launcher to the Belarusian military. Russia’s nuclear-capable weapon for Belarus coincides with Finland’s entry into NATO as the 31st member. Moscow reacted to the move by saying Russia has been forced to retaliate for Finland joining NATO. #russia #belarus #nuclear #iskander #iskanderm #missile #nuclearweapons #russianarmy #belarusian #military #russiaukrainewar #finland #nato #russiaukraineconflict Hindustan Times Videos bring you news, views and explainers about current issues in India and across the globe.
