Star Wars was released 43 (!) years ago and has spawned some of the coolest fanart of all time, but in my mind, the best of it all is Jake Parker’s “The Tie Fighter“. Maybe it’s because it combines the dope futuristic samurai aesthetic with mechwarrior tie fighters, or what, but I knew this was the project to try turning a 2D drawing into 3D art if there ever was one.
