(IN)SPIRE: Top Ten Tallest Lost Spires of the Old World, Gothic Antiquitech from pre-1600

Are you prepared to have your mind (in)spired? Today we will look at the top 10 tallest “Spire” towers which have been lost throughout time. The spire was a symbol of religious authority in Gothic Architecture, and some of the largest spires just so happened to also be the tallest structures in the entire world upon their respective completions. Today we will count down the top 10 of these amazing structures, all built before the year 1600 (keep that in mind) which have seemingly been lost to time. These are spires of an immense proportion which I have never heard mentioned before, that either were completely demolished, destroyed by the elements, or simply rebuilt to be smaller (why?). I will include a few facts (according to the current narrative) about each spire, including the height of the spire at its peak.
