Exploring the World’s CAPITAL of CAVIAR! (Astrakhan, Russia) 🇷🇺

We headed up the Russian Caspian Sea coast from Dagestan to the imperial city Astrakhan. Astrakhan, at the confluence of the Volga river and Caspian is known throughout Russia for its fish. It is widely-regarded as the home of Caviar. We spent two days (including Julia’s birthday) in this beautiful city, exploring the famous ’Kremlin’, tasting the incredible fish and taking some time to relax after an intense journey across the North Caucasus.
