Item title reads - Wide Wide World. New Mexico and Glasgow. New Mexico. A camera which travelled on a V-2 rocket recorded shots of the world from 65 miles up. Various shots of the camera, which travelled in the fin of the rocket, it is taken intact from the metal container. M/S of the V-2. C/U of the aperture in the fin of the rocket where the camera travelled. M/S as it takes off. It hurtles upwards and we see the earth from the rocket, including the first recorded pictures of the edge of the world. M/S of the rocket from the ground. Men and women of St. Andrew’s Ambulance Association parade along Cathedral Street, Glasgow to the service of the dedication of their Colours.
