Spinning Its Tale! (1939)

Titles read: “SPINNING ITS TALE!“ Various locations of events. Several sequences show gyroscopes turning as commentator explains the theory behind them. Gyroscopic force is illustrated by flywheels, rolling coins, people riding bicycles, shells coming out of guns (animated diagram). The Sperry (?) Master-gyro Compass is seen - a huge piece of machinery that works like a non-magnetic compass with an electric generator working the wheel. On a ship (?) a man sets the course of navigation on the ship wheel, which is kept by the Master Compass / Gyro. Various shots of equipment using gyros being manufactured for the British Navy and Air Force. A model of an aeroplane shows a gyro working to control the axis; in a real plane the gyro is seen to keep the aircraft steady in mid-air.
