This is my first ever walkthrough on an MS-DOS game that is also available on the PS1 (with some minor differences between the DOS and PS1 versions).
This is a game that I wanted to do a full walkthrough on, since nobody has ever done that, yet there are walkthroughs available on the internet, but text-only.
This is Perfect Assassin, brought to you by Grolier Interactive and Synthetic Dimensions, which was first released on MS-DOS PC’s in 1997 and then on the PS1 in 1998.
The whole MS-DOS version is played on DosBox, yet you will notice black lines in the FMVs, which is actually because of minor emulation issues, yet the game is still playable. However, I noticed the game will crash when trying to talk to select people in the game. For instance, when you try to talk to the doolan at the City Gates, the game will instantly crash (Not sure if anyone else got that problem), yet on the PS1, it doesn’t.
While the game is played, this part will also demonstrate how the dialogue sequences work. (The MS-DOS version has the two characters talking to each other fully animated and alive, while on the PS1, they are just mute, static and lifeless.)
And as for the music, I replaced the MIDI versions of the music with the ones from the PS1 version, cuz they sound alot cooler, IMO.
You can also beat this level by giving the doolan at the gates the Porta-Spa, who will open the gates for you (But sadly I can’t, because the game will crash, as explained earlier, but you can still do this in the PS1 version.)
