French MP suspended from National Assembly for raising Palestine flag

French MP Sébastien Delogu, associated with the left-wing political party La France Insoumise, went viral on social media after he waved a Palestinian flag during a National Assembly debate on recognising Palestinian statehood. This action, aimed at condemning Israeli genocide in Gaza, garnered applause from certain segments but was immediately denounced as “unacceptable“ by National Assembly President Yael Braun-Pivet. Security then forcible removed Delogu from the Assembly, and he was also given a two-week suspension as well has having two weeks of his salary docked.
