Levi & Friends part 1

From the New Zealand TV comedy-drama series “Go Girls”, Season 5, 2013, in 12 parts. This season features an entirely new cast to the previous seasons, and also has a gay interest. Due to viewing restrictions set by the production company, this video cannot be seen in New Zealand. A group of 5 friends in their mid-20s living on Auckland’s North Shore, who have known each other since high school, go on personal quests to take more control over their random lives. Event planner Levi Hirsh, an openly gay man, feels his life is already pretty much perfect and his quest is to stay fabulous for the whole year. Levi shares an apartment with landscape gardener Ted Keegan (the narrator of the story), and his sister Bennie Keegan. Ted’s quest is to win the woman he loves while clumsy and unpractical Bennie’s quest is to be her own boss. Determined not to be an Asian stereotype, Alice Lee makes a quest to be a bad girl and get herself noticed. Their sort-of-friend Candy McMann makes a quest to be a much nicer person to everyone she knows. In Part 1 (S5 E01) - January Ted’s school-time crush comes back into his life, his old teacher Sarah Bennett, and he realises he still has a thing for her. But his arch-nemesis from school, Candy McMann, also comes back onto the scene. Ted hates her because she always picked on him in school. Levi is trying to find a wedding venue for Alice after the place they booked goes into receivership. But Alice cancels the wedding when her fiancée Zane confesses he has been seeing other women. Candy confesses to Bennie that she was one of the other women! The five friends meet on the beach and decide what their quests will be for the year ahead. .
