Neil Sedaka is one of the great career comeback stories of the 70’s, beaten only by the Bee Gees. In the space of eight months he had three of his songs hit #1, “Laughter In The Rain“, “Love Will Keep Us Together“ and “Bad Blood“. This was because Elton John took an interest in the veteran’s career and signed him to his Rocket Record company bringing him back into the spotlight. He had a Las Vegas residency opening for the Carpenters at the Riviera but the audiences and critics were paying more attention to him, the opener than the main attraction.
