Ghosts of Cable street - The men they couldn’t hang

In 1936 over 100,000 ordinary British people stood in solidarity to defeat the rising threat of fascism. After beating fascism on our shores, the British people made enormous sacrifices during WWII to help rid continental Europe of fascism too. Unfortunately people these days are more likely to follow fascist hate mobs like Britain First on social media than they are to actively beat fascism down like their forefathers did. Listen to the song. Remember the lyrics: “And so we learn from history generations have to fight And those who crave for mastery Must be faced down on sight And if that means by words, by fists By stones or by the gun Remember those who stood up for Their daughters and their sons“ Music credit: The men they couldn’t hang
