I am mad with love / Piece number #2 of Japa Sadhana Meditation In a longer edition this time, of 1 hour and 45 minutes. As we all wish and aim to extend the sacred utterance of the mantra beyond our rounds. Besides, to illustrate that time, finite or prescribed, does not matter all that much in the end, as it needs to surpass the amount of minutes, eventually. Even though, like the first one, this piece can be used as a playback instead of music as well, but its purpose is mainly meditation. It is intended to listen with headphones or good speakers, as a meditation / Japa Sadhana session. Majority of sounds intentionally stay below the vocals, focus is still on the mantra. Delicate, subtle tones and melodies accompany the experience and create an emotional journey. The mind is brought to neutrality. The mind likes to anticipate stimulating events, it wants to be imprinted, it seeks saturation. So within this piece, I purposefully took the time to play out a particular sound without prediction of its further development — like a movie, a meditation, an artpiece — with the intention to mirror it in the listener. The mind walks behind the story and the anchor is the mantra. The mind is immersed in the sound, lingering at the plateau, unmoving on its edge. Just as the mind should be, in its calm, resting place. Indifferent to the ebbs and flows, yet fully engaged and open—hearted. In this piece, the mantra with the vocals of the Beloved Paramahamsa Vishwananda is accompanied by a series of sounds blended as a poem that addresses the heart. A soundtrack of a play; a play which requires our inner sight; just like an ancient scripture or a remark of a Guru, inconceivable in the moment, yet grasped months our even years later, followed by a clue which draws a bigger picture, at last. The purpose of this piece, apart from repetition of the mantra, is to enhance our poetic understanding. Of our emotion, of our reactions, of people around us in their depth. Of the events and occurrences that come into being in our life and their profound meaning. Especially the subjective meaning we assign to them. It is meant to become a film score of our days, a reflection of our inner state, the aftermath of the mantra. It is yet another love story. Love, without restraint and never held back. Love, that deeply alters us in its fervid blaze. Love, that we do not understand and aren’t trying to understand, because it is not meant to be understood but surrendered to, in a true meaning of the word. I added to our main Mantra an atmosphere of the Worshiped, the Lover; the feminine. A quality of a Goddess, who you approach bare, humble and never without an offering. A worshiper in her softest expression; overflowing with love, unconstricted tenderness, she is the complete energy, the internal potency, the fabric of the Absolute Truth. As truth is Love, she is the nectar that gives sweetness to everything there is. As true Love is worship, there is no real Sadhana without her quality - the burning heart of Devotion. As I observe the world and its current energies, the essence of Radha Rani is what I ultimately wished to create, along with the piece.
